Hi. I'm trying to think of another description to put here. Any ideas? I'll try again at 420.

Dear Meg...

...so I wanted to make my own blog too. How do you make one?...Could you give me some information about how to get a blog?

Actually, last May I posted some information that should help you to get started creating your own blog. Here's the link:

http://diaryofmydivorce.blogspot.com/2005/05/megs-blogging-101-so-many-people-have.html

If you have any questions after you read that, just email me at MegBKelso@gmail.com and I'll do my best to answer them. If I can figure this stuff out, anyone can. I had never even heard of a blog before the day that I began this one. Everything that I've learned, I've taught myself so it can't be too tough.

I think I mention in that post somewhere that it's not a good idea to attach pop-up ads to your blog. I guess some people get paid a bit for that but I wouldn't do it. As a matter of fact, if anyone evers finds a pop-up ad attached to my blog, I hope they would tell me so that I could find out how it got there and take it down. It did happen once before...I don't know how it got there and I just wrote to Blogger.com . They took it down somehow. I think that it's rude to do that, if someone has come to read your blog, you shouldn't punish them by making them have to click a bunch of trash away. If I go to a blog that has a pop-up ad attached to it, I never go back.

The AdSense things are different, a person would literally have to click on those things to be assaulted by them so it's not as though they come out of nowhere and annoy people.

I've been getting phone calls from a computer that says something to the effect of, "I have been trying to get in touch with someone at this number for quite sometime now..." I don't know who or what it is...I hang up immediately. I wish that I had one of those programs myself so that I could "return" the calls in kind. If I had some sort of recording device, I would at least call them back and play my own little answer back to them. But, much to the dismay of my friends and family, I don't have so much as an answering machine. If I'm not home, you just get a ring over and over again.

OK then...now my car is in my front yard and I wish that my son would come over and move it back where it was. I'm not sure whether or not I'm allowed to move the thing myself...I think that I can as long as I'm on private property but I don't want to take any chances. I'd hate to get pulled over in my own driveway. I rent this place so I can't prove that I own it and even though I'm sure that the landlord himself wouldn't mind, I'd end up sitting in jail until I could go in front of a judge and that would just suck...especially since I promised the judge that I wouldn't be in front of him anymore. I'm going to be a very good girl...at least until I'm off of probation. So, as long as it's under my control to stay out of jail, I will do just that.

I know that I can be a sucker but I do think that I'm USUALLY a pretty good judge of whether or not I'm being lied to (unless I happen to be in love with the person doing the lieing). There was a lady that I went to court with who was there for a dirty urine but she swore to me that she hadn't smoked any pot in over 6 months. I believed her. She did say that she had been around it so I suppose that COULD explain it.

I think that a false positive would more than likely be the result of a faulty test. The last place that I worked as a nurse stopped using the test kits that they had been using because of false positives AND false negatives. I don't know how they knew about a false negative, I can't imagine some pot smoker who had just passed a test saying, "Well, that can't be, I just smoked a big fattie last night."

One way or another, they WERE having trouble with the tests themselves and as a result, they began just sending the specimens off to a lab where they could do some sort of tests that were accurate. That fact sort of frightens me. I have the type of luck that would have me testing positive for every drug in the book, even when I hadn't done any drugs at all.

I know that certain drugs, such as cold medicines, could result in a false positive for meth but I don't like the way that cold medicines make me feel so I never take anything other than Benadryl for cold symptoms. I know better than to eat poppy seeds even though I'm pretty sure that you'd have to eat a truckload of them for that to result in a false positive for opium and /or drugs derived from poppys. Once again, the best that I can do is to be a good girl and hope for the best.

OK...I'm going to go do some housework...you never know when your probation officer might pop in and the last time mine did, the house was a pig sty since we had just gotten back from my little trip. Although she can't lock me up for poor housekeeping, I would like her to know that my house doesn't always look like it did that day.

So, I'm off to clean up a bit and I'll be back later!

See ya,

Meg
