OMG!
Did you hear about the brain eating amoeba in Tuscon's water supply? They said said that it's NO PROBLEM. I guess they decided that since the entire state of California survived the attack with what they called "minimal damages", it was OK to let Tuscon suffer the same fate.
Maybe that's what happened to the South, ya think? It certainly explains a lot of people I met when I got lost driving from Fort Bragg to a house in Fayetteville, North Carolina. I ended up on roads that had no names...they just had arrows with the names of towns written on them, pointing in the direction you needed to turn to get to the town. Apparently, the roads had no names, I don't know what the locals called them. I guess the "Raleigh Road" or something like that.
I decided that I had made too many wrong turns so I just followed the road kill all the way back to the two-lane. Then I pulled into a small store and in the parking lot there was a pick up truck full of people who were speaking some language that I didn't understand at first but after listening for a few minutes, I realized that it was some form of English spoken in that little town and nowhere else.
Anyway, my grandkids are here so I should go play with them. I'm still tired, I didn't go to sleep until close to 6 and these little people don't sleep as late as I'd like to. They came running into my room saying, "Grandma...it's morning!" So now I'm trying to suck coffee in what seems to be a losing effort to wake my ass up.
I just can't seem to clear my mind enough to function. Uh oh...maybe I got some of that brain eating amoeba stuff in me...well, that's OK, if I did it'll all be over soon. If I didn't I have to get up and play with 2 rambuctious, energetic munchkins. They're gonna kill me anyway so one way or another I'm screwed.
See ya soon, my granddaughter is enjoying the web cam so later she'll be my special guest on my SMOD.
Meg
