Good morning!
It's rather late this morning but I was up pretty late last night. It's cold here and the heater isn't working so I woke up in a house that was 53 degrees. I don't think it's ever gotten that cold in here before.
Anyway, I could live in Africa, I hear it's warm there. I have a lot of famous people on my MySpace page and for some reason, other famous people (and not so famous people) want to be my "friends". I usually don't mind but the people who are trying to sell sex toys, porn or some other tacky stuff don't get added. I did add this African dude...he seemed pelasant enough and I don't think I have any friends in Africa. I have friends FROM Africa, but not IN Africa.
It didn't take me long to see that he not only probably isn't from Africa, he's trying to scam me wherever he's from. This is the history of our "friendship", a short one to be sure. But apparently, it's long enough for him to begin to sing me his sad tale:

hi magarethow are u today?thanj u abt ur wonderflu reply ...i dont work am very young to do that..am in a hgh school studying government n lawbut i stoped school last year because of financial support...i have no parent to take care of me.my parent travel when i was at the age of 5years so i was taken care by my grandmothere who just away last 2years....is very hard for me sometimes even to get close to wear n food to eat.hope u are fine,may the allmigty God protect youis ur friend richmondhope to read from u soonbyeeeeeeeee.........
So, an 18 year old is too young to work in Africa? Maybe that explains some of their woes.

18 is too young to work in Africa? I've had a job since I was 14. You can't grow a garden or kill a giraffe? I would think an 18 year old would be healthy enough to take care of himself. It's not like you have to have cash for a deposit on an apartment. Couldn't you get your own mud and make a small bachelor hut for yourself? In America 18 year olds fight for our country. We depend on them to keep us safe. Africa must not be the place for you. Why don't you get on a coconut boat and stowaway to America? You would need to get on a boat that goes to Florida...it's more like Africa than NewYork. Your little dress thingies wouldn't keep you very warm further north.
Oh, and didn't Bono come over there and build a school or something? I know Oprah built one for girls...do you have to pay to go to school? Do you have libraries?
I know! You could just use the computer for learning things instead of writing to me!

Do you guys think people ever really fall for this crap? They must or these yahoos wouldn't keep doing it. I'll be curious to see if he writes me back. I'm not sure if sarcasm translates into whatever language that guy speaks.
