Hi. I'm trying to think of another description to put here. Any ideas? I'll try again at 420.

"I am not holding it against her for being promiscuous..."

And you shouldn't, unless she is your wife. I am curious about what constitutes promiscuity in this day and age. The TV and movies make it seem as though bed hopping is perfectly acceptable. Someone mentioned, in a comment, that promiscuity is OK as long as you are single. BUT...that didn't mean he wanted a promiscuous woman. (I have written that word one too many times. It doesn't even sound like a real word now, does that ever happen to you when you repeat a word a few times?)

So, what is the norm today? A few dates? When you are in love? I am not going to go by Jerry Springer and I don't want to ask anyone I know, they might take it the wrong way. Being new to dating again, I should know this. I haven't been single since pre-AIDS and I am wondering what the "norm" is. So...let me know what you find acceptable, in actions and in what you would expect from the person you are with. We all have a few different opinions, some people would say, "Go ahead...have fun!" But, they wouldn't want you after you had all that fun. Now, this is one I NEED to know!

What are you all doing out there and how old are you? Do the other ex-hippy people STILL think it is OK to sleep around? Do the younger folks think so? Don't be shy, you don't have to use your name, just leave me a line so I know what to do...one day I might have an opportunity and I should know what I am dealing with.

Thanks!

Meg

To that weird guy...this was cracking me up "I'm a single guy, so you know I'll be as promiscuous as the girls I'm interested in will let me be. ;-)"

Jen,

LOLOL, I don't ever remember a guy saying, "Get that hand out of my pants now or I will scream!"

Guy, you know I luv ya, but that was seriously funny.

Meg

Oh, and I know what you said about quality vs. quantity, I found it too cute to leave that alone so I used it the way I did, all the while, understanding exactly what you meant, even before you wrote the next comment.:)
