You know, just when you least expect it...
Something nice happens:
Hey Dollbabe,
Do you remember when you told me what good I did for your self esteem? I should have told you what you did for me and I am sorry that I didn’t tell you that day. You made me happy and I haven’t been that happy in years. When my wife died, I thought that there would be never be another woman who I could find that would make me smile like you did. I find you to be a very beautiful woman and I thought so the first time I laid eyes on you. When we spoke, and I got to know you, you became more beautiful every time I looked at you. You said I made you uncomfortable when I stared at you but it was only because I couldn’t believe how lucky I was to be sitting across from such a lovely girl. I couldn’t take my eyes off you. You make me laugh, you challenge me with our discussions, even when I totally disagree with you, I respect the way you listen to my opinion and you have even been fair enough to change your mind when you hear my point of view. I read what you wrote about being a man and I submit to you that I am man enough to make you happy and there isn’t a soul in the world who could convince me that you are anything less than a wonderful woman, friend and all around kind human being. I know you wanted to go through your illness alone, but I want to be by your side so you aren’t scared. You are to good to have to be alone in that situation. I don’t know what fool made you feel so bad, I assume it is Shithead and if it is you have to know that he never truly loved you, he just wanted to have you as a trophy. I would never let you hurt if I could help it and I would never leave you when you needed a friend. Let me show you what life can be like with a real man and if you give me the chance, I will never let you down. I will never break my word to you and I think you know that. I’m sorry that Shithead couldn’t keep any promises he made to you but I think from what you’ve written that you know there are men who can keep their word. Call me when you get this.
With all my heart, I am your friend,
Mike
I knew I wasn't worthless!
