Hi. I'm trying to think of another description to put here. Any ideas? I'll try again at 420.

Hi!

Sorry to be so rare today, I don't feel well at all. I don't know what the heck is wrong with me but it has me feeling rather yucky.

I spoke too soon regarding Cynthia McKinney. She hasn't accused anyone of racism but she did have her "people" do it for her. They said that she was guilty of nothing other than "being in congress while black".

I find it insulting that these politicians take things so personally...they're representatives of a district, not personal entities. They take offense at things as though they were aimed directly at them when they should be more concerned with the district that they represent than with their own feelings.

It's certainly not just McKinney, the Clinton's seem to think that they have some sort of claim to office. Have either one of them ever held a job in the private sector? I don't think so. Hillary had a couple of jobs that she got so some law firm could claim the governor's wife as an associate, but I don't think that she's ever actually had a client, per se.

The Bushes seem to have sort of the same thing going on and the scary thing is the fact that we could have a Bush or Clinton in the White House for decades. If Hillary and Jeb Bush are elected, that would put the White House up for another Clinton when the daughter is about ready to run. Personally, I'm ready for another name to pop up.

That people such as McKinney feel so entitled to public office is an affront to the nation but there really isn't anything that anyone can say that would make any difference. She'll get re-elected again, just so that her district can send her there to stir up trouble. That's all she's accomplished and that seems to be enough for her constituency.

She whines that this has happened to her 6 times already. But, rather than take the responsibility herself, she bitches that they're bigoted. She could put a stop to it completely by putting the damn pin on that most members of congress wear but she prefers to let this happen over and over again...and for what? It gets her name in the paper and it's much easier than actually DOING something for her district.

She stirs up trouble whenever she can and then when election time roles around, she can just sit back and rest on her annoyance laurels and win office again. Her constituency will be happy with her because they feel as though she is one of them...after all, she's a victim too. They never stop to ask the question that people should ask when they go into the voting booth...What have you done for me lately?

How many jobs has she brought to her district? How much help has she brought them in the way of decreased taxes? What stand did she take on the war and why? Did she vote to send the troops in? Did she have any reasoning at all for her vote? Does she reason at all? What did she do to help put an end to racism? Has she done anything to bring cohesiveness to America or has she simply accused people of racism?

People who care about the country will realize that "United we stand" is more than a simple phrase. People fought a long and arduous war to make that point. It's quite true that united we stand and therefore, it's necessarily true that divided we fall. Why then, do these people work so hard to divide us? I'd like to know what they have to gain by making Americans enemies with each other. If that isn't true, then what have they done to bring about an end to the problems that they whine about over and over again?

If they're too lazy to simply put on a pin and stop bad things from happening, they don't need to be there. If they're too stupid to put on a pin and stop bad things from happening, they don't need to be there.
And, what's wrong with our press in this country? Why don't they ask her those simple questions? If someone took a microphone and put in in her face and asked, "Congresswoman McKinney, why don't you put the pin on and put a stop to this rather than inviting trouble?", what the heck would she say? I'd LOVE to see someone hold her, or any other politician accountable for their actions...just once. The only time that the press does that is when they don't like someone.

If McKinney were a republican, the press would be out there asking all kinds of humiliating questions but since she belongs to the party that the press currently has a crush on, they don't. That attitude doesn't help any of us, democrat or republican. All Americans would stand to gain from a press that truly is free. But, for the time being, it's far too politically incorrect for the press to behave like journalists. That's a shame.
