Hi. I'm trying to think of another description to put here. Any ideas? I'll try again at 420.

I finally found my glasses!!!

They were under my blankets in my bed. I can't believe that I didn't look there in the first place. Oh well, I have my glasses and my bed is made.

My friend who's supposed to take me to see dead people hasn't called yet. I have no idea why they have dead people at the Civic Center but if they do, I want to see them. I don't know why I want to see them, I just do. The more I wonder why, the more curious I get. Why would they have dead people at the Civic Center? I never asked why, I just said, "Sure, let's go see dead people!"

OK, I've figured out why they're showing dead people. This is a link to the article about the display. It's actually just a show like art using dead bodies from China that were never claimed.

It said that the body fair was controversial. I guess so.

Ever since I mentioned the hang up calls the other day, they've stopped. I bet they'll start again, every time I mention them on the blog, they stop for a while and then start again in a week or so.

It's a shame that I'm not a Kennedy, isn't it? If I were, I could get away with all sorts of crimes. Isn't it ridiculous that the DC cops are letting him slide on that stupidity that he was involved in? That crap makes me think that maybe Cynthia McKinney had it right. The laws that we peons have to obey don't seem to apply to certain people. He said some trash about Ambein and Phenergan...to be so messed up on those two medicines, one would have to take a lot of them. Then he says that he's addicted to pain medicine, he didn't mention that the first day. So, he's going into rehab. I think that he's doing that because of the popularity of rehab for pain killers, not for any altruistic reasons. I'm absolutely stunned that the cops are letting him slide.

Can you imagine being a cop and having your supervisor call you and tell you to leave a suspect alone? The laws are against driving under the influence, whatever is influencing you. It doesn't have to be alcohol. So, if he was under the influence, he should be arrested one way or another. Oh well, at least he didn't drive into the Chappaquiddick with a young woman at his side.

How long are we going to let certain people get away with crimes? I just can't imagine why Americans would stand still for that when most of us have to abide by the laws.

Someone emailed me to ask me what I thought of Clinton's impeachment. I think that the Senate failed to do their job. I do think that Clinton was guilty and should have lost his job for lying but I also think that the questions never should have been asked in the first place. After they WERE asked, he had the obligation to answer them honestly. I have never lied under oath and I never would. I don't see why anyone else should be able to get away with doing so. Someone should have struck those sexual questions before a sitting president had to lie about his sexual history.

According to the constitution, the congress had the job of judging whether or not the "crime" was impeachable and the senate had to declare guilt or innocence. The senate failed to do it's job, choosing instead to do congress's job and decided the impeachability of the "crimes". No one ever made them answer for that and I don't understand why they didn't. That was certainly a sad chapter in American history.

I wonder what one wears to a dead body exhibition? Perhaps a nice black dress would be in line. I don't have a black dress so I can't wear one of them. I'll probably just end up wearing jeans. I hope that I don't offend any dead people. I read in the article that the person in charge of the exhibition likes to watch the faces of people who look at the dead bodies. I won't make the tiniest face so he can't see mine. I'll keep a poker face the entire time. I've already seen many dead bodies, but never like these. Most dead bodies I see are freshly dead people. Once I opened a door so that the funeral guy could wheel a body out to the hearse and when he did, he hit the curb wrong and the dead person fell off the gurney. That was bad.

The first person who ever died on my shift had died with her face down in between the side rail and the mattress and by the time I got to her, her face was all wrinkled and creased from being squeezed between the bar and mattress. I freaked out thinking that she would look like that at her wake. But, after I left the room for a few minutes and returned, her face went back where it was supposed to be. That was freaky.

I always stop at car accidents if there isn't already medical help on the scene so I've seen some pretty bad wrecks. It has totally freaked me out about driving so I don't really mind not being able to.

Well, I'm going to go and get ready for the dead people. I'll be back later.

Meg
